I have started an Open Source Project on SourceForge.net. This is a JavaScript based Graphics Library that I will be making after my board exams. This is not like all other Graphics Library, as this one would allow you to make 3-D shaped such as bars and probably pyramids and will also allow you to add effect to the graphics that you are making. The effects that I will be including will be pretty simple such as a Gradient Effect and a Black and Whit effect etc.

I recently noticed on Alexa that Yahoo is the most visited page on the Internet followed by MSN and them Google. Now the thing that really pissed my off was the fact that Google came after MSN. I started wondering how this could be possible. I mean everybody loves Google. They could make a Television program on Google and it would beat any other show. So I did find out why MSN is second and the reason is –

The Microsoft people are very nasty. Whenever you use the Internet Explorer 6 or later the default homepage as MSN.com. Most of the people who are not computer friendly do not even know how to change it. But now that the IE7’s default homepage is Yahoo.com and Yahoo News, things might start to change…lets wait and see.

MacBook to MacBook Pro

A few minutes ago I just found out that the Apple Inc. is trying to fool me in a very small way. You see the MacBook is of two types, one is of 1.83GHz and the other one is of 2.00GHz, and there prices are 1099$ and 1299$ respectively. Now, the MacBook Pro is of two types as well. One is 2.16GHz and the other one is something like 2.4GHz and there prices are 1999$ and 2499$ respectively.

If you take the second type of MaccBook of 2.00GHz of processing power and add an additional 512MB RAM to it, which would make the grand total 1474$. No these people are asking for 500$ just for the extra 0.16GHZ?? I think it is a bit unfair even though they give some extra hard drive.

Today was one o the best days that I have had in my life! Access 2006 was a very great success for me. I got first in Junior Programming and also I got first in Story Writing (crazy aint it?). As I got these prizes I also got the Best Performer in the Junior category. I got fourth in Group Discussion as some of my facts according to them were wrong.
As I got the Best Junior Performer, I might even be able to get a scholarship at school!!

Not only that, my tutorial got listed on Good Tutorials and thus I got 915 hits on my blog just in one day. Some are suggesting that the planned acquisition of SuSE Linux AG by Novell Inc. could reignite an old battle between Novell and Microsoft. Certainly, what's good for Linux is bad for Microsoft, and if Provo-Utah-based Novell does a good job managing the acquisition, it will make Linux stronger because the result will be two strong enterprise Linux competitors -- Red Hat and the newly retooled Novell, experts say.

"For most IT executives in shops that are primarily dominated by Microsoft Windows, and you like Microsoft, this merger won't change anything," said Gordon Haff, a senior analyst at Illuminata, a Nashua, N.H., consulting firm. "But if you're a Microsoft shop and you are considering some Linux, this is a further indicator to you that Linux in the enterprise is very real."

The acquisition will be good for Novell, because it will help strengthen its position in the Linux market and help revitalize Novell as a company, said Steve Kleynhans, a vice president at the Meta Group, a Stamford, Conn., research company.

And Novell is saying that Nuremberg, Germany-based SuSE Linux will benefit by gaining access to Novell's wide distribution channel and entry to a great many enterprises. If Novell can combine the two companies successfully, it will make Linux stronger.

Still, experts caution that Novell has a bad track record when it comes to mergers and acquisitions. "Certainly it's a different company than back in the day of Word Perfect and Unix," Haff said.

There is a risk that Novell won't come up with a positive business formula once it pulls both companies together. "It all looks good on paper, but there is a chance [Novell] can't get a product that everyone can get excited about, and one that makes a good business model," Haff said.

Generally, when you burn files to a CD once, you’re done — you can’t burn to that CD again. Unless you use this little trick: First create a new folder and give it a descriptive name (something like “burn baby burn!” Kidding). Now put the files you want to burn into that folder, then go to the Applications folder and open the Utilities folder. Double-click on Disk Utility. When it comes up, go under the File menu, under New, and choose Disk Image from Folder, and then when the Open dialog appears, find that folder with the stuff you want to burn and click the image button. A Save dialog appears in which you can leave the name as is or choose a new name (leave the other controls alone), and then click Save. In a few moments, a disk image of your folder’s contents will appear in the list on the left side of the Disk Utility dialog. Click on that icon, and then click the burn button at the top left of the Disk Utility dialog.
When you click the Burn button, a dialog will appear asking to insert a disc. Do so, and then click once the blue downward-facing triangle on the right side of this dialog to show more options. Click on the checkbox for Leave disc appendable, then click the Burn button. Your data will now be written to that CD. To add more files later, just insert that same CD and then you’ll use this same process all over again, but when you get to that final burn dialog, the button won’t say “Burn” this time, instead it will say “Append” because you’re adding these files to the same disc. By the way, don’t forget to remove the files you already burned to this disc from your “burn baby burn!” folder (and the DMG file it creates) before you make your next disc image.

He told me to blog the whole engligh dictionary. Dont worry, I am not planning to do anything like that. But I was just wondering , that why does not http://dictionary.com show up for each and every or even 70% of the search terms.
The reason for that is that the URL for say the meaning of "Apple" would include some thinglike - "?", "#" etc. This is not search engine friendly. While Wikipedia has only "-" and a normal "/"
in there URL. That is why the chances of Wikipedia popping up as a search result for a word are more than that of Dictionary.com

I found out today what a sprite is. It is the after effect of a lighning strike, but it is not on the earth, it actually goes upwards to the atmosphere and looks somewhat like the roots of a tree. Here is a picture -

Now you know what a spite is. Everybody would know that whenever there is a nuclear reaction on the earth that is a big in magnitude it send of its radiation out in space about 4000 miles in altitude. This radiation causes the communication satellites not to function. It is something like a mini-solar-flare. There is a constant radiation layer over the earth but there is a saf area where the satillites function. But sometimes this safe area is filled with radiation and this radiation goes away after some time.

The rate at which this radioation is more where there is day, during summer and in the equatorial area. Anyone woul guess that the radiation goes away due to the sun's light or radiation. but that is wrong. Actually lightning also occurs moe in -

Now the problem is, the time for that post will not be when you published it, but when you actually opened the New Post page. I think this is specific to Blogger Beta, but I am not sure.

I think people confuse real life with games a lot. Today, when I saw Anuj(a.k.a LaLa), a senior of mine playing Need For Speed Underground in Auto transmission, I told him that he should pla in manual as it gives more control. He says to me, "Have you ever driven anythin apart from a cycle?".

Alright, so I might not have driven anything aprt from a cycle or skates but I do know a lot about Need For Speed(definitely more that LaLa). Knowing how to drive in real life and the one in NFS are two extremely differnt things. They are not interconnected whatsoever. And even if he has driven a car I am so sure it is not even close to the tuner cars that are available in the NFS series.

So sometimes, just sometimes people should realize that if they can do something in real life they would be able to do it in a computer game as well and vice-versa!

The Perfect Day

Today was the perfect day of my life. I know it sounds strange that in only 14.7 years I was able to find a perfect day but still it was. I woke up at around 7:45 AM which is niether too late nor too late. I had my favourite breakfast, I mean the one that I have been having for the past 12 years. I did some History(which I agree was a little boring). Then we had Pav Bhaji and quite amazingly I actually liked the Bhaji part too.
Then after some more of Social Science we had lunch that was Pav Bhaji again. Then some more history and after that I gave a Math Mock Exam that went pretty well that went better than my last on that was really reall really bad. After playing some small Flash Games and Internet Checkers we went to have Pizza. The Pizza was really nice and the 1000 Island Dressing was sooooo tasty. Now I am Back...going to do some more studies.

So the day was a perfect balance of Studies, Family Fun, Blogging and Food. I totally wish to have more days similar to this in my life.

My Room is Back

Finally after around 2 months I recovered the operating sytem of the computer that was lying in the study room. Now, I can swith on the computer even late at night and will also be able to get new songs as the other PC does not have any bit torrents. Even though this computer not even half as good as the other one, but I still love it cause I have learned everything that I know about computers on this computer. Its good to be back!

Tata held it Quiz this year in Delhi. I got to know that I am going to participate in it yesterday. So we went and got to know that around 200 teams for differnt schools had come for the quiz. My Partner was Vibhor . The Prelims were kinda easy and we made it to the final 6. The finals were totally killer. We were only able to answer two questions and came 4^th from the six finalists. It was okay as I did not know that it was going to happen and also the standard of quistions according to me was very very very high. but, stilll the prizes that I got were great(some would say, I found them rather boring or useless) . How to be Lazy

Laziness is the key to success. Here are the rules of being lazy:

1. Never do anything. If you wait around long enough, someone else will do it.
2. Don't move. Moving is overrated.
3. Never run. Running is the worst thing you can do. I had to run once.. big mistake.
4. If something is not in your reach, you don't need it. Before you get up to get something across the room next time, think. Do you really want to get up and walk all the way there and all the way back to get it? Yeah, I know. I felt stupid for moving all those times.
5. Don't have an opinion. Opinions are thoughts, and thoughts are work.
6. Don't work. Working is for suckers. Be a CEO if you can, they never do anything.
7. If you have to move, fuss about it. Make it well known that you're pissed off because you have to move. Sigh a lot. Drag your feet and arch your back at 60 degrees (bad posture helps you to conform to the shapes of couches when you sit down, and it makes you look tired).
8. Sleep as much as you can. Contrary to common sense and popular belief, sleeping is very productive.
9. Don't talk. Talking requires the movement of your jaw.. way too much work.
10. If you have to work, do a half-assed job at it. Example: If you have to rake leaves, push them out into the road or into your neighbor's yard. If you have a riding lawn mower, run over them a few times until the pieces are small enough to hide in between blades of grass.

I have more rules, but this is taking more effort than I thought. I'll update this later.. if I'm not too tired

Two Chapters to complete!!

Okay! So now I am home and I have around two chapters of maths to complete so that I can give the B.T. mock test and actually get good marks in it. I need to get like above 85 so that I can have the confidence that I need for the PrePreBoards. So, probable I will be dishing out a post on Quake and Condition Zero maps when I have completed them. If I dont complete them I will be up all night to do some other study and then probably blog.

Manually defeating the master!!!

Today I went to Avi's house to give him the songs of NFS Carbon. After copying the files I wanted to play Need For Speed Underground 2 on his PC so I did some races nd after doing a Magazine cover he told me to Jump to Garage and then save my Career. Then he told me to Quick Race(Why?) and then he started to do a StreetX on Manual Gear(I use Auto) he did a race of 10 laps with no opponents and told me to just watch.

I watched and after he completed the race he went to options chages the transmission to Auto and told me to do the same track with the same preferences. I switched it to Manual, just to see how it feels. And on the second try I was only 0.56 seconds away from the time that he took. I also beat him in one of the laps.

It was the first time I had ever beaten him in racing. It feels great man!! Now I have totally switched to Manual tranmission.

Dilli Bandh!!

There has been a Dilli Bandh everal times here but the first time ever has it ever effected me and it is quite annoying. Due to this the schools are closed and I cant meet my friends. Also several computer symposiums are being postponed. For example WARP that is the computer symposium of DPS Mathura road was on 7th and 8th of Novembor but the government advised all the private schools to remain closed on these days. I mean I was to go to around 2 competetions one the first day and on 1 on the other day. But now this symposium has been posponed until further notice. I hope that something like this does not happen to MODEM or Exun.

The butt-shot!!!

I recently got Counter Strike: Condiotion Zero and while I was playing I realized that apart from the head shot that kills the other person immediately, one can also use the "Butt Shot". Just aim at the enemy's buttock while playing through a sniper rifle and shoot. The person dies immediately. I am also sure that, that person's health was full cause I was playing de_dust with me alone as terrorist and three others as counter terrorists. I had only seen two other bots whom I had killed in one shot(the headshot that time). I will try this more number of times and confirm!!

If you fall into that camp, an alternative name is becoming increasingly popular as some folks, their inner geeks in full view, are stumping for the phrase chmod 777 web.
Unix mavens will recognize the inference immediately and will be chuckling to themselves. For everyone else, here’s the background: chmod is short for “change mode,” and it’s the Unix command you use to change the permissions on a file or directory. There are three types of permissions—read, write, and execute—and each one is either on (1) or off (0). So if a file has read, write, and execute permissions turned on, you write that as 111, which is the binary equivalent to decimal 7. Lastly, you specify three different sets of permissions for each object: the owner of the file, the members of the file’s group, and everyone else. So if you give read, write, and execute permission to all three sets of users, that’s written as 777, and the command that applies these permissions is chmod 777.
So what does this have to do with Web 2.0? Today was my mathematics examination. It went of ok, I wasn't able to do some question. But there was this one question which I had done correctly and most of the people of my class had done wrong. The question was

A student taking a test consisting of 10 questions in that each question after the first is worth 2 marks more than the preceding quesiotn. If the third question of the test is of 5 marks, what is the maximum score that the student can obtain by attempting only 8 questions?

Now this is the way that most of the people had solved it -

d=2 (Difference of marks)
a₃=5 (Weightage of the third question)
a₂=a₃-d=5-2=3
Thus,
a₁=a₂-d=3-2=1
Now, that a₁=1 and d=2
The maximum marks that one can obtain will be S₈. So they solved
S₈=(n/2)(2a+(n-1)d)
S₈=(8/2)(2+(8-1)2))
S₈=4(2+(7*2))
S₈=4*16
S₈=64
Answer: 64 Marks

But the thing is that the question never said that the student attempted the first 8 questions. He attemtep any 8 questions. Now, we can say that who are we to determine which question he would have done. The fisrt 8 seems to be the obvious choice. But then again, the question has clearly asked what are the maximum marks one can get by attempting 8 questions. So the correct way to solve it would be -

d=2 (Difference of marks)
a₃=5 (Weightage of the third question)
a₂=a₃-d=5-2=3
Thus,
a₁=a₂-d=3-2=1
We will assume that he did the last 8 questions as it would fetch him the maximum marks. Thus thhe maximum marks would be-
S₁₀-(a₂+a₁)
Which is-
(n/2)(2a+(n-1)d)-(a₂+a₁)
=(10/2)(2+18)-(3+1)
=(5)(20)-4
=100-4
=96
Answer: 96

Arizona: A 22-year old woman was arrested after authorities said that she tried to hire someone to kill another woman whose photo appeared on her boyfriend's MySpace.com web page

Heather Michelle Kane was booked on Tuesday for incestigation of conspiracy to commit murder, Mesa detective Jery Gissel said.

Kane was arrested after she met with an undercover police detective at a grocery store, authorities said. Court records show Kane offered to pay 1000$, to have the woman killed - 500$ up front and $500 after the job was completed.

The records say Kane gave the undercover officer photographs taken from her boyfriend's social networking Web page of the woman she wanted killed

She also requested of the womans's dead body, he added

It wasn't clear if the boyfriend and the targeted woman were romantically involved, Gissel said further

Microsoft releases Zune

While surfing through television channels I saw on CNN in the marquee display at the bottom of the screen that, "Microsot has relased Zune the new Media Player". So I though that I must blog about it as fast as I can.

Microsoft Corp.'s effort to compete against Apple's iPod juggernaut will focus on the idea that people want to be able to easily share music with friends and others.

The software maker said Thursday that its portable Zune media player, scheduled to be available around the holiday season, will include wireless technology to let people share some of their favorite songs, playlists or pictures with other Zune users who are close by.

Those users can listen to the songs three times over three days before deciding whether to purchase it themselves.

"The idea is to legitimize peer-to-peer sharing in a healthy way that works for everybody," said J Allard, a Microsoft vice president in charge of the Zune product line.

Microsoft said the song-sharing capability will be available for most songs available through its forthcoming Zune Marketplace service, although some music publishers won't allow it.

Also, for now at least, users will not be able to buy the songs directly through the device. Instead, they can flag the song and purchase it next time they connect the device to a computer and access the online music store.

Analyst Ted Schadler with Forrester Research said he thinks Microsoft has assembled a strong product with many features Apple's iPod has, and some -- such as the wireless feature -- that it doesn't.

Still, he questioned whether music-sharing would be enough of a draw to get people to switch allegiances.

"I'm not going to change my mind about which product I own for that feature," he said.

The company did not disclose pricing or a specific launch date for the first Zune player. The device, to be made by Toshiba Corp., will have 30 gigabytes of memory (enough to hold about 7,500 songs), a 3-inch screen and a built-in FM tuner. It also will come loaded with about 25 songs or other pieces of content.

Allard said the device is based on Toshiba's Gigabeat handheld music player, but customized to include such things as the wireless capabilities.

Analyst Phil Leigh with Inside Digital Media said he thinks Microsoft may be able to gain an edge by offering a subscription service. Other companies offer such unlimited plans, but Apple doesn't.

Still, Leigh thinks Microsoft will be hindered by having just one high-end device available at the beginning, while Apple has a broad product line to appeal to a wide variety of users.

"The way to be competitive here would be come in with some choices, instead of just one product," he said.

Allard said the company does eventually plan to offer more devices and features. "We think of the Zune platform and the movement here to be more than the device," he said.

Microsoft has said that Zune is key to staying competitive, but will cost millions of dollars and not pay off immediately.

Other hardware manufacturers, including Creative Technology Ltd. and Samsung Electronics Co., already offer portable media players using Microsoft's software, although they've had limited success against Apple

Q1) What did Calpurnia dream?
Ans) Calpurnia dreamt that Caesar's statue was sprouting out

Ans) Caesar says these last words, "Et tu

Caesar was becoming too ambitious and that this will cause damage to the

was greater so he killed him.

Ans) Brutus imposed certain conditions on Antony. He said that
Brutus would go first and then only will Antony come and speak. He also said
that when he praises Caesar, he would praise him only after saying that Brutus
is allowing him to praise Caesar. He will not say anything that will
emotionally raise the crowd. But Antony bieng a great orator, twisted his
words and was successfully able to entince the emotions of the mob.

Q4) What prediction did Antony make regarding the future of
Rome?
Ans) Antony predicted that after Julius Caesar's death there
will be a lot o f violence all across Italy. This violence will eventually
turn into a civil war. Mothers would become emotionless as there would be so
much killing, that they will not be able to care about the death of there
sons. At this time of violence, Caesar's spirit would return with Goddess Ate
by his side and seek revenge for his murder. The large number of dead men
would be moaning and groaning for there burial but there won't be enough
graves to bury them it.

statue sprouting out blood through many open wounds. This dream actually comes
true as Caesar is killed by Brutus and all the other conspirators,

Antony says these words while addressing the mob. He says this

Antony, using his oratory skills to tell the mob that Caesar
was a large-hearted man and was not ambitious. This he proves by reading
Caesar's will that says - that every Roman would get 75 drachmas or silver
coins, also all the gardens, orchards and arbours are open for all the people
for recreation, and not only for this generation but for the generations to
come.

c) Why does the speake read Caesar's will to the
citizens?
Antony reads the will to the citizens as he want to tell them
that Caesar was and honest and kind man and that he was killed wrongly. He
wanted to prove that Caesar was not ambitious but was actually large-hearted.
He proved so by reading his will that promised each and every Roman 75
drachmas that is silver coins. Also all his newly-planted orchards, garden,
arbours etc. would be give to the public for recreation and that too not only
for this generation but for the generations to come.

d) What is the reaction of the listeners to the reading of
the will?
Ans) when the mod heard the will of Caesat and how he had given
everything to the public, they realized that Caesar was a true and honest man.
They decided that they would avenge his death by burning down the houses of
all the conspirators and by killin each and every one of them to avenge his
death.
